When she collapsed during a routine day, quick-thinking students didn’t hesitate; they sprang into action, alerting staff and dialing 911. The response was immediate and effective, as teachers began CPR while firefighters raced to the scene.

Karleigh’s heart would ultimately stop twice en route to the hospital, but thanks to the skilled first responders using a defibrillator, her heartbeat was restored. Now, after a challenging ordeal, Karleigh has made a full recovery, and she is deeply grateful for the swift heroic efforts of her colleagues and students.
