Modesto Schools Renovate Seven Campuses with Bond Money, Adding Solar and Sports Medicine Programs

Modesto City Schools is undergoing a major transformation. Construction is underway at seven campuses, funded by community-approved Measure X and Measure L bond measures. The projects include upgrades at Davis, Beyer, Downey, and Modesto high schools, along with Franklin Elementary, Elliott Alternative Education Center, and Alberta Martone Elementary.

The renovations go beyond basic improvements. New career technical education programs give students hands-on training in growing fields. Elliott students can now study electrical and solar installation, both of which are in high demand locally. Davis High is adding sports medicine, and Modesto High has a new woodshop. Beyer High now features dedicated lab space for science students, a change that teachers say better prepares students for college and future careers.
