New Zealand’s metal band Devilskin was celebrating ten years of their album“Be Like The River”at the University of Otago when things went from heavy metal to heavy smell. A middle-aged concertgoer allegedly let it all out right in the middle of the mosh pit. Witnesses described the pile as“massive”and said the stench was so bad people started vomiting and moving away like the crowd was parting a brown sea.
Police tracked down the man responsible after the show, but they decided not to charge him with anything. The band kept playing through the chaos, but you have to wonder if that song will ever sound the same again. It’s the kind of story that makes you thankful for the simple things in life – like knowing where the nearest bathroom is at a concert.
