Sac State Homecoming 2026: Diplo, Dustin Lynch, And The "Botas Y Rave" Weekend Events

Sacramento State is going all out for its first football game in the Mid-American Conference. The university has partnered with NPU Live to bring a star-studded concert lineup to homecoming weekend, headlined by Diplo, Dustin Lynch, and Deorro. The festivities begin with a pre-game show on Friday, Oct. 16, ahead of the Hornets’clash with the Ohio Bobcats, and wrap up with a unique“Botas Y Rave”event on Sunday, Oct. 18, featuring additional acts like Farruko and 3BallMTY.

This news comes as Sac State celebrates its official jump to the FBS level, a move that required a $23 million entry fee. The university will also enjoy at least five national television appearances this season, a program record. Sac State’s President, Luke Wood, says the partnership with NPU Live is about building a dynamic campus that connects with the wider Sacramento region. NPU Live, known for its work in Northern California, will also renovate the Great World Co. into a new 2,800-person-capacity venue. They plan to offer internships and a for-credit course to Sac State students as part of the deal.

While the excitement is building, this is a major test for campus safety. Last year’s Lil Yachty concert ended with a trampling injury, so organizers will have to prove that this time around, the crowds can be managed. Do you think this concert lineup is a good mix for Sacramento, and will you be trying to get tickets to the“Botas Y Rave”? Let us know in the comments.
