St. Basil Greek Food Festival Returns to Stockton for Its 67th Year

The 67th Annual St. Basil Greek Food Festival is open in Stockton through Sunday, bringing authentic Greek cuisine, homemade baked goods, shopping, live music, and traditional dancing to the community. It’s the longest-running Greek festival in the city, and the lineup this year includes live performances and church tours alongside all the food.

The numbers behind the festival tell their own story. Organizers, including Peter Maduros, begin preparing about two months before the gates open, with the final two or three weeks being the busiest stretch. This year, the team made more than 7,000 pieces of baklava by hand, a testament to the volunteer effort that keeps this tradition alive decade after decade.

Getting in is easy on the wallet. Gate tickets are $5, and children under 11 are admitted free, which makes it an affordable outing for the whole family.
