Stockton City Council Candidate Arrested: The Bar Address Defense Isn't Working

In a case that has raised eyebrows across San Joaquin County, Stockton City Council candidate Desiree Lynch was arrested Wednesday on five felony charges. The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office says Lynch faked her residency in District 5 by using two fraudulent addresses, including one at Harry’s Cocktail Lounge. Investigators believe she actually lives in Lodi and North Stockton, which are part of District 1. This means she may have run for a seat she was never eligible to hold.
