The summer sun isn’t the only thing bringing warmth to Midtown Sacramento this year! Starting May 2026, a refreshing lineup of free activities kicks off in the Midtown Parks, promoting mental health and wellness for everyone. Whether you’re seeking to perfect your downward dog in yoga, strengthen your core with pilates, or center yourself with Tai Chi, these activities are accessible to all ages and fitness levels.

Executive Director of the Midtown Association, Emily Baime Michaels, emphasizes the community-centered approach, saying this initiative was crafted in response to the public’s desire for safe outdoor activities during the pandemic. With four parks participating—Fremont Park, Winn Park, Sutter’s Fort, and Marshall Park—there’s no shortage of green spaces to enjoy. The Fresh Air initiative aims to foster a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can gather and connect.

But wait, there’s more! Fremont Park is set to dazzle with an art installation called Fremont Park Bloom, featuring stunning illuminated sculptures that will create a magical atmosphere at night. Community events, including silent discos and art markets, will complement the fresh air yoga sessions, turning the parks into vibrant hubs of creativity and connection. It sounds like the perfect backdrop for a summer filled with fun, fitness, and friendship, proving that when art meets wellness, the community thrives. What could be better?
