Zero Cups in 2000, Sold Out in Roseville: How a 98 Rock Host Fixed a Kid's Lemonade Disaster

In 2000, seven-year-old John Adams set up a lemonade stand outside Ozzfest in Northern California and sold nothing. Not one cup. The only visitors he got were a KCRA 3 news crew, who captured the whole thing on camera and moved on.

Twenty-five years later, after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, KCRA reposted that clip, and it caught the attention of 98 Rock host Abe Kanan. He tracked Adams all the way down to Missouri and flew him back out to redo the whole thing. On Tuesday, the stand reopened at Rooftop Macarons in Roseville, with Mayor Krista Bernasconi joining in for 98 Rock Day. This time, people actually showed up.

The best part: proceeds are going to Noah Whitaker, a Sierra College student whose ADA-accessible van was totaled in a crash back in May. A childhood flop from a quarter century ago just turned into real help for a neighbor.
