The nominations for the 60th CMA Awards are here, and Ella Langley is sitting at the top of the list. Announced Thursday, September 10 on Good Morning America, this year’s nominee class has Langley’s name in seven categories: Entertainer of the Year, Single, Album, Song, Female Vocalist, Musical Event, and Music Video. The rest of the categories were revealed during a CMA livestream on YouTube right after the GMA segment, so no matter who you’re rooting for, there’s a good chance your favorite made the cut somewhere.
The big night goes down November 18 in Nashville. It’s a milestone year for the show, and Lainey Wilson is returning to host for the third consecutive year. Wilson, who took home Entertainer of the Year last year, said she is especially excited given the 60th anniversary. She’s also nominated for Entertainer of the Year again, facing off with Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and Cody Johnson. The show will air on ABC and stream live on Disney+.
Sixty years of country music’s biggest night, a stacked nominee list, and one of the genre’s brightest stars in the driver’s seat. Whether you’re team Langley, team Lainey, or pulling for somebody else entirely, November 18 is circled on every country fan’s calendar. So tell us: who are you most excited to see nominated this year? Let us know in the comments.
