Alison Krauss&Union Station have called off more than a dozen dates on their Arcadia Tour after doctors advised Krauss to take full vocal rest. The canceled run begins September 11 in Davenport, Iowa, and stretches through early October, covering Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Three nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on September 18-20 are also off the schedule.

The band said in their announcement that the decision wasn’t made lightly and that they’re deeply committed to their fans, adding that they hope to return to the affected cities in the future.
The timing is rough, no way around it. Arcadia arrived last year as the group’s first album together in nearly fourteen years, and the band heads into the IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards in October with multiple nominations.
