The 60th CMA Awards nominations are out, and Ella Langley sits at the top with nine nods, including her first entertainer of the year nomination. Miranda Lambert follows with seven, and her 19th female vocalist nomination breaks Reba McEntire’s long-standing record of 18. Little Big Town also added to their legacy with a 21st consecutive vocal group nomination, the most for any group in CMA history.
The snubs might get more attention than the celebrations this year. Morgan Wallen picked up just two nominations, both for musical events, after skipping the 2024 ceremony where he won entertainer of the year. Riley Green landed one nod, and Megan Moroney got two despite a breakout stretch. The eligibility period covered July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, so some of these calls came down to timing as much as talent.
There were pleasant surprises too. Stephen Wilson Jr. earned four nominations, Emily Ann Roberts and Avery Anna broke through in the new artist category, and Taylor Swift returned to the country side with a single of the year nod for“I Knew It, I Knew You”from Toy Story 5. The 60th CMA Awards air November 18 on ABC and stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
