Dolly Parton's Travel Stop Releases New Videos and Jingle for Trucker's Appreciation Week

Dolly Parton’s Tennessean Travel Stop just gave fans one more reason to smile. The Cornersville, Tennessee stop released previously unseen videos on September 10 featuring Dolly herself explaining why she wanted to build a place for people on the road. In her words, she wanted it to feel like a home away from home, and anyone who has spent hours behind the wheel knows exactly what that means. The stop, which opened in June about an hour south of Nashville, offers a dog park, a full-service restaurant and bar, and a lounge for folks to stretch out and rest.

She also created a custom banjo-inflected jingle for the stop, and that released alongside the videos. Parton died August 25 in Nashville at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer, which makes these final projects feel like a parting gift to the people she always understood best.“Who better to own a travel stop than someone who’s spent their entire life on the road?”she said in the footage. It’s hard to argue with that kind of logic.

The timing lines up with Trucker’s Appreciation Week, running September 13 through 19. Truckers enrolled in the stop’s perk program can count on free coffee, meals, and reserved seating all week long. It’s a practical thank-you for the men and women who keep shelves stocked and freight moving, delivered with Dolly’s signature warmth.
