“Choosin’Texas”has turned chart dominance into serious money. According to Billboard estimates, Ella Langley’s smash has now earned nearly $13.9 million worldwide from streams, digital sales, and U.S. radio airplay since its release last October. Almost $10.5 million of that came from the United States, with terrestrial radio doing the heaviest lifting.

The song has spent 21 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the longest non-holiday run in chart history. It has passed the 19-week runs of Shaboozey’s“A Bar Song (Tipsy)”and Lil Nas X’s“Old Town Road,”and now sits just one week behind Mariah Carey’s all-time record of 22 weeks. Radio has logged more than 977,000 spins and an audience near 2.25 billion, while worldwide streams have topped 1.5 billion.

The money breaks down to roughly $6 million in publishing royalties and nearly $8 million in label revenue, a reminder of how much a crossover country hit can generate when radio and streaming line up at the same time. One more week would tie Mariah’s record. Two more would break it.

Do you think“Choosin’Texas”takes down the all-time record? Let us know in the comments.
