The numbers behind the run are staggering.“Choosin’Texas”pulled in 24 million streams, 56.9 million radio audience impressions, and 6,000 sales during the tracking week of September 4 through 10. It also holds No. 1 on Hot Country Songs for a 40th week, making it only the third song ever to reach that mark. The song debuted last November, cracked the top 10 in January, and took the top spot for the first time in February. Seven months later, it hasn’t let go.
Country’s grip on the pop chart goes beyond one song.
