The post included whale paintings and a Lord Byron quote, along with a caption that read,“Whale, we finally got our song done. And that’s no Lie.”She also thanked Bryan, collaborators Sam and Shelby, and Melinda and Doug Kirkpatrick of Flowerness Farm, the artists behind the whale imagery.
No title, no release date, but plenty of hints. Whale and moonlight themes have fans buzzing, especially since Del Rey has been working on her country-leaning album Stove, formerly titled Lasso, for quite some time. This collaboration feels like a natural step for her, and for Bryan, who has already recorded with names like Bruce Springsteen, Noah Kahan, Kacey Musgraves, and John Mayer. Bryan has even covered Del Rey’s“Video Games,”and the two have shared festival bills at Hangout and Stagecoach.
