Mark Wills, Ricky Skaggs and Rhonda Vincent Team Up for "I'll Fly Away" from Grand Ole Revival

Mark Wills has a new single out, and he brought some friends who know their way around a gospel song.“I’ll Fly Away”features Ricky Skaggs and Rhonda Vincent, three Grand Ole Opry members sharing one of the most beloved hymns ever written. The track landed Sept. 11 and comes from Wills’upcoming album Grand Ole Revival, set for release Nov. 6 on Gaither Music Group.

What makes this project stand out is where it was captured. Producer Ben Isaacs recorded the album live inside the Grand Ole Opry House, making it only the second live audio album recorded there since the 1970s. That means every note carries the sound of the room where generations of country and gospel music have been made. The guest list backs it up too, with appearances from Cody Johnson, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt and The Oak Ridge Boys.

Wills said the song took on a whole new energy once Skaggs and Vincent joined in, and this release follows his August single“The Baptism of Jesse Taylor.”Before the country hits, Wills grew up on hymns and gospel standards, and Grand Ole Revival feels like a homecoming.
