Shania Twain Missed Taylor Swift's Wedding for a Harry Styles Show, and She Stands By It

Shania Twain had a wedding invitation this summer that most folks would clear their whole calendar for: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July celebration at Madison Square Garden. She wasn’t there. The reason is simple. She had already committed to performing with Harry Styles at Wembley Stadium, and in her words, she would never go back on a commitment. She even joked that she owes the newlyweds one impressive wedding gift to make up for it.

That Wembley show may not be the last we see of those two together. Twain told Us Weekly she would love to get in the studio with Styles, calling it a dream collaboration between two creative people with mutual respect. She said the same kind of energy comes from working with Sabrina Carpenter and other younger artists, and that it gives her hope for where music is heading. Her seventh album, Little Miss Twain, arrived in July with guests like Tanya Tucker, Josh Homme, and The War and Treaty. There’s also a brand-new Zedd remix of“You’re Still the One”made for Candy Crush’s 30th anniversary, which Twain sees as a fresh second life for the classic.
