Taylor Swift Earns First CMA Awards Nomination in Four Years for "I Knew It, I Knew You"

Taylor Swift is back in the CMA Awards conversation. The singer-songwriter picked up a Single of the Year nomination for“I Knew It, I Knew You,”her first CMA nomination in four years and her first Single of the Year nod since 2013. She last took home a CMA Award in 2017, when she won Song of the Year as a writer on Little Big Town’s“Better Man.”

The song arrived in June on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack and quickly became one of the year’s biggest country radio hits, climbing all the way to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Swift will compete against Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson in one of the most competitive categories of the night.

Swift has spoken openly about what her country foundation means to her. She’s said she loves her country roots more the further she gets down this path and wants to honor them, adding that the people who shaped her as an artist and a writer all came out of Nashville. The 60th annual CMA Awards air on ABC and stream on Disney+ on Nov. 18. Which performance or category are you most excited for this year?
