Taylor Swift Scores First CMA Nomination in 4 Years for "I Knew It, I Knew You"

Taylor Swift is back on the CMA Awards ballot for the first time since 2022. The superstar picked up a Single of the Year nomination for“I Knew It, I Knew You,”her 2026 release that arrived in June as part of the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. It’s her first Single of the Year nod since 2013, and it puts her in a category alongside Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson.

The chart story behind the song is just as impressive as the nomination.“I Knew It, I Knew You”topped the Hot Country Songs chart and hit Number One on the Billboard Hot 100. It also became the first song by a woman to be played by every Mediabase-reporting country station during its first week, a milestone that speaks to just how wide the welcome back has been.
