After nearly a decade of estrangement, Aaron Rodgers says he’s back on good terms with his family. The Steelers quarterback shared the news on the“Not Just Football”podcast, explaining that he first visited his parents, Ed and Darla, at their Chico, California home before they moved to Nashville. From there, he reconnected with his older brother Luke, and a couple weeks later, with younger brother Jordan, the same brother who once aired the family split on“The Bachelorette.”
Rodgers didn’t pretend it was easy. He described“tough conversations”and admitted he probably wouldn’t have even considered reconciling a year ago. What he calls ego and judgement had kept him away. The turning point, he says, was his wife Brittani, whom he secretly married in 2025. Rodgers said being loved“in such an unconditional and beautiful, pure way”shifted how he sees all of his relationships.
It’s a reminder that fame and fortune don’t exempt anybody from the hard work of family. There’s no timetable on mending a fence, and no shame in being the one who makes the first call. Have you ever repaired a relationship you thought was gone for good? Tell us your story in the comments.
