Aaron Rodgers used Thursday’s episode of the“Not Just Football”podcast to revisit his relationship with ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley, and her inner circle isn’t thrilled about it. Sources close to the actress told TMZ the two haven’t spoken in more than two years, and friends are questioning why a married man is publicly rehashing a relationship that ended back in February 2022. Rodgers, 42, married a woman identified as Brittani in 2025.
On the podcast, Rodgers claimed Woodley felt pressured to accept his February 2021 proposal, alleged she took her engagement ring off by March of that year, and pushed back on“monster”claims made by both Woodley and his ex Danica Patrick. He also said he dated two women nobody pays attention to unless they drop his name, a remark that’s landing about as well as you’d expect.
Woodley, 34, has stayed quiet through all of it, and that silence may say more than any podcast segment could. The whole situation raises a question plenty of us have faced in our own lives: once you’ve moved on and said“I do”to somebody new, what’s the right way to handle an old chapter? Most folks around here would say you close the book and leave it on the shelf.
What do you think? Should exes ever discuss past relationships publicly, or is some business just meant to stay private?
