Accuser Settles With Diggs' Brother as Sexual Assault Case Looms

One piece of the legal puzzle surrounding NFL star Stefon Diggs just moved off the table. Christopher Griffith, who filed separate allegations against the Houston Texans receiver, has settled his $10 million lawsuit against Stefon’s brother, Darez Diggs, and an L.A. apartment complex where much of the alleged drama unfolded. But don’t mistake this resolution for closure—the more serious case against Stefon himself remains very much alive.

According to court documents, Griffith dropped the suit against Darez and the complex, though the specifics of any financial settlement weren’t disclosed. The original claim centered on a May 29, 2023 incident where Griffith alleged he was attacked by Darez and others, with over $100,000 in property stolen during the confrontation.

The real weight of this story, though, sits with the pending lawsuit against Stefon directly. Griffith’s allegations against the NFL player paint a troubling picture: he claims he was drugged at Stefon’s home before being exposed to unwanted sexual advances. According to the complaint, Stefon exposed himself and attempted to initiate sexual contact, tried to kiss Griffith, and placed his tongue in Griffith’s ear—all after allegedly drugging him. Griffith says he was then threatened into silence by Darez and two women, stripped of his clothes, driven to the airport, and attacked a week later outside his own apartment building.

Both Stefon and Darez have denied all allegations and fired back with a defamation counterclaim against Griffith. So while one legal battle has settled quietly, the accusation that triggered it all remains unresolved—and far more serious.
