"All That" Star Christy Knowings Dead at 46 After Asthma Attack

If you grew up in the late’90s, the name Christy Knowings probably brings back a flood of memories. She was a regular on Nickelodeon’s“All That”from 1997 to 2000, the sketch comedy show that launched the careers of stars like Kenan Thompson, Nick Cannon, and Amanda Bynes. Knowings passed away Tuesday at the age of 46 after suffering an asthma attack. She had been placed on life support at a Los Angeles hospital last Friday, and her family ultimately made the difficult decision to take her off it.

Knowings didn’t stop after her Nickelodeon days. She went on to appear on“Sesame Street”from 2008 to 2011, where she actually co-starred alongside her twin brother, Chris Knowings. She also released a track in 2020, showing that her creativity never slowed down. Her death is the second loss for the“All That”family this year, following the January hit-and-run death of fellow alum Kianna Underwood. That’s two members of a beloved cast gone in just over seven months.
