Amanda Kloots is closing one chapter and keeping her heart open. The 44-year-old former cohost of The Talk confirmed to Page Six that she and former tennis player Justin Gimelstob, 49, have ended their relationship after just over a year of dating. The two first stepped out together in April 2025 at a cancer awareness event in Beverly Hills.
Kloots kept it simple and kind when asked about the split. She said the two are still very good friends. She also made it clear that she’s not giving up on romance, saying,“I believe in love. I definitely want that in my life.”For now, her focus is on her work, her 7-year-old son Elvis, and herself.
For anyone who’s followed Kloots’journey, this lands a little differently than your average celebrity breakup. She lost her husband, Broadway actor Nick Cordero, in 2020, and she’s navigated grief and single motherhood with a level of honesty that’s earned her a whole lot of loyal fans. A year-long relationship ending doesn’t mean she lost. It means she tried, and she’s still standing.
What do you think? Is it possible to stay genuine friends with an ex, or is that just something people say?
