Anna Wintour doesn’t do hesitant answers. At the US Open red carpet this week, she told reporters that she couldn’t possibly pick a favorite current player, then turned right around and named Roger Federer her all-time greatest. No pause, no debate. The moment came while the Met Gala drama was still hanging over her, and she handled it the way she handles everything, with one word and a look.

Meanwhile, Joe Scarborough learned what the rest of us already know. He was turned away from a Status Summit afterparty because the door staff didn’t recognize him. Over at Fashion Week, Bobby Cannavale and Debra Messing missed a Will&Grace reunion by 20 minutes at separate events, while Ciara’s 9-year-old daughter asked a cameraman to get her on the US Open big screen.
