Lucas Drake, an adult content creator and burlesque performer known as LuLu LoveBottom, died by apparent suicide on September 7 at age 30. His roommate, Michael Aquino, found him in his room that day and said paramedics arrived too late to save him. Drake had posted a farewell message on Instagram before his death, and Aquino later shared a tribute of his own, writing about their final conversation and a last hug that he didn’t know was goodbye.
Before burlesque, Drake had a background in football, and friends describe him as someone who lit up a room. Fellow performer and best friend Asura is among those mourning him publicly. Aquino’s tribute closed with words that are hard to shake:“I didn’t know that was going to be our last hug, because I would’ve held on tighter to make sure you wouldn’t leave.”
