Ciara Miller Wears Whitney Houston's 1993 Marc Bouer Gown at the Emmys 2026

Whitney Houston’s fashion legacy got a fresh moment in the spotlight at the Emmys 2026. Ciara Miller, the Summer House star and upcoming Dancing With the Stars contestant, walked the red carpet in a beige velvet Marc Bouer gown that Houston herself wore in 1993 and 1994. The custom piece featured sparkly buttons and a white satin collar, and it sold at a Julien’s Auction last month for more than $5,000. Miller started her night in a white sparkly matching set while co-hosting E!’s fashion coverage before making the switch into Houston’s gown.

Miller was quick to give credit where it’s due. She told reporters,“This was Whitney Houston’s dress; she wore this in 1993 [and] 1994.”She even cracked a joke about hoping some of Houston’s talent might rub off, saying,“When I put it on, I was like, hopefully my vocal cords will improve, and I’ll be a better singer but [that] hasn’t quite happened yet.”It’s the kind of humble, lighthearted moment that makes a red carpet tribute feel genuine instead of staged.
