The messy divorce between former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and ex-NFL player Kroy Biermann just took a darker turn. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, June 4, Zolciak is now claiming that their four shared children are experiencing neglect while in Biermann’s custody — and the allegations paint a troubling picture of life at his house.
In her filing, the 48-year-old alleged that she is constantly hearing from all of the children while they’re with their dad, with each one reaching out asking for food because they’re hungry or medicine because they’re sick. Zolciak’s attorneys say she immediately provides whatever the kids need, stepping in as the safety net. But that’s not all. She also claims that at least one child has been subjected to what the court documents describe as frightening rage-fueled tirades from Biermann.
The allegations don’t stop there. Zolciak further contends that Biermann, 40, has been engaging in sexual relationships with multiple women in recent months, with some of these partners staying at his residence and even joining family vacations — allegedly while the children were present. More troubling still, her children reportedly told her they’ve heard their father engaged in sexual acts with his girlfriend while they were in the house, though they hadn’t seen him for hours.
This escalation comes after Biermann filed for sole custody back in late March, claiming that Zolciak exhibited what he called“blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities.”A judge then approved a temporary parenting plan that kept the children in Biermann’s physical custody. Zolciak denied those claims at the time, releasing a statement vowing not to be bullied and insisting that“the truth is on my side.”
The pair have been locked in this legal battle since filing for divorce in May 2023, briefly reconciling before the divorce picked back up by August 2023. They share KJ, 15, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12 together. Zolciak is also mom to Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24, whom Biermann legally adopted in 2013. Ariana herself has spoken about how the divorce has strained her relationship with her adoptive father, admitting in May 2025 that they’re no longer as close as they used to be.
What started as a high-profile celebrity split has morphed into something far more serious — a custody fight with allegations that strike at the heart of parental care and the wellbeing of four teenagers caught in the middle.
