Grace Kelly's Granddaughter Princess Alexandra Is Engaged After 10 Years Together

Grace Kelly’s granddaughter is getting married. Princess Alexandra of Hanover, 27, announced her engagement to Ben-Sylvester Strautmann on Friday, and the couple has already logged ten years together. They grew up in Monaco in the same circles, and they both come from athletic backgrounds. Alexandra represented Monaco in figure skating, and Strautmann played basketball for Monaco’s under-18 national team.

The ring is a stunner: a 4.8-carat fancy yellow diamond designed by Antinori di Sanpietro. Alexandra shared proposal photos on Instagram with a three-word caption,“The marriage plot,”which might be the most understated engagement announcement we’ve seen all year. She’s the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco and sits 13th in line to the throne.
