Jennifer Aniston's Boyfriend Says Their Romance Started With a Many-Month Friendship

Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend, hypnotist and self-help author Jim Curtis, is opening up about how their relationship began, and it’s about as grounded as it gets. In an interview with The Times, the 50-year-old said the two were friends for many months before anything romantic developed.“The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy,”he said. Turns out his path to Aniston started even earlier. On his 47th birthday, Curtis had a premonition that by age 50 he’d be with someone unlike any partner he’d had before. After he turned 49, Aniston followed him on Instagram and liked several of his videos. A mutual friend introduced them, and by July 4, 2026, they were officially a couple after being photographed together on a yacht off Mallorca.

Aniston has been vocal about her feelings too. In her November 2025 Elle Women of the Year cover story, she called Curtis extraordinary and praised how he’s helped so many people. Since the relationship went public, his Instagram following has reportedly doubled to 1.1 million. He even describes sitting between Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David in his new book,“The Book of Possibility: Release. Align. Become.”
