Judge Judy's Final Episode Airs This October, and Her Son Is Taking the Bench

Judge Judy Sheindlin is closing out her run on the bench. The final episode of Judy Justice airs this October, ending one of the longest and most recognizable careers in daytime television. But she told People she isn’t finished working, just finished with the hair and makeup chair.“I have a lot of other things of interest,”she said, adding that she still wants her message to get out there.

That message is getting a new platform, and it’s a family affair. Her son, Adam Levy, is starring in his own courtroom show called Adam’s Law, which Sheindlin is executive producing. It begins airing in syndication on September 14th, so viewers won’t have to go far to find that familiar brand of straight talk. She’s also developing an adult animated series based on her own life, which sounds like a chapter nobody saw coming.

Judy Justice continues to stream on Prime Video, so longtime fans can still get their fix. For a lot of households, this marks the end of an era in daytime TV, but it also looks a whole lot like a handoff. One generation steps aside, the next steps up, and the gavel stays in the family.
