Kelly Osbourne isn’t mincing words about where things stand with her older sister. On the“We Need to Talk”podcast, the 41-year-old said she has permanently cut ties with Aimee, 43, describing the two of them as“polar opposites”and“like oil and water.”Kelly said Aimee never really acknowledged her or their brother Jack, and that she long felt Aimee was embarrassed of the family. Reconciliation, according to Kelly, is off the table.
The rift goes back further than this week’s headline. Aimee was the one Osbourne sibling who refused to appear on MTV’s“The Osbournes,”and she moved out at 16 to get away from the cameras, saying she was trying to figure out who she was amid family chaos. Earlier this year, she made a rare family appearance at the Grammys to honor her father, Ozzy, who died in July 2025. It was one stage, one goodbye, and one brief moment where everybody stood in the same room.
Kelly’s reasoning is the part that will land with a lot of folks: she said she won’t keep people in her life who try to change her, say horrible things about her, or seem to thrive when she’s struggling. Setting that kind of boundary with someone you love is one of the hardest things a person can do. Have you ever had to do it? Tell us your story in the comments.
