Kelly Osbourne isn’t shying away from a hard conversation. At the National Television Awards, she told Attitude Magazine that she doesn’t agree with her mother Sharon Osbourne’s conservative politics, saying it’s“really hard”because she loves her mum. Sharon made headlines in April when she supported anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson’s“Unite the Kingdom”march, which led the Centrepoint charity for unhoused people to cut ties with her.

Kelly also said she was sad to learn her mother had made comments that may not align with the trans community. But she didn’t place blame. She attributed the divide to a lack of education and misunderstanding rather than malice, choosing honesty over a public feud with her own family.

Through it all, Kelly gave credit where it’s due, telling the magazine that the LGBTQ+ community, including drag queens and trans people, taught her bravery and self-acceptance.“I wouldn’t be me without them,”she said. It’s a story about values, family, and the courage to speak your truth while still holding the door open for the people you love. How do you handle political disagreements with your own family?
