Kirk Cameron Calls Viral Faith Healer Kathryn Krick a 'Charlatan' on His Podcast

Kirk Cameron and his oldest son James used the Sept. 9 episode of“The Kirk Cameron Show”to take a hard look at self-proclaimed apostle Kathryn Krick, the Los Angeles leader of Five-Fold Church with more than two million social media followers. James brought her videos to his dad’s attention and said the way Krick lifts up her self-described spiritual father, GeorDavie, is“straight-up cult leader language.”He also argued her healing claims give people a“false sense of hope.”

Kirk didn’t hold back either. He called Krick a charlatan and said she is“monetizing these exorcisms on TikTok”while soliciting donations. He added that he’s watched people’s faith get“shipwrecked”by this kind of teaching. It’s worth noting Krick isn’t new to the camera. Before ministry, she was an aspiring actress who appeared as a contestant on a dating show.

The bigger question here isn’t really about one preacher on TikTok. It’s about accountability, celebrity culture inside the church, and how outsiders end up viewing Christianity when the loudest voices online are the ones selling something.
