The Brown family is entering a brand new chapter. Kody and Robyn Brown will not return for Season 21 of“Sister Wives,”according to an announcement that dropped in the show’s new trailer. Neither of them appears in the teaser, and neither has commented on the exit. The couple has been part of the TLC series since it premiered in September 2010, making this the end of a 16-year run on camera.
The news hit Kody’s ex-wives hard. Christine, Janelle, and Meri each reacted with surprise in their confessionals, with one admitting she had no idea what it meant and another saying she was flabbergasted when she got the news. The trailer also shows the three women reuniting for some less-than-comfortable meetups and melting down jewelry from Kody. Robyn is Kody’s only remaining wife after Christine’s separation in 2021 and Janelle and Meri’s in 2022.
Season 21 premieres Sunday, Oct. 4, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC, and it will look a whole lot different without the couple who sat at the center of it all. Are you planning to watch, or do you think the show has run its course? Let us know in the comments.
