KPop Demon Hunters Is Two Weeks Away From Breaking Moana's Soundtrack Record

KPop Demon Hunters has spent 60 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Soundtracks chart, and that puts it just two weeks behind Moana’s all-time record of 62. Even more impressive, the soundtrack has topped the chart for all but four of its 64 total weeks on the list.

The chart itself launched on June 30, 2001, which means blockbusters like Saturday Night Fever and Purple Rain never had a chance to rack up weeks. Among the soundtracks that have, one pattern stands out: the five with the most weeks at No. 1 all come from animated films, including Frozen, Frozen II, and Encanto.
