Lady Gaga is officially a mom. Page Six reported last week that the singer and actress, 40, quietly welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky, 42. The couple reportedly took time off work to spend the summer at home with the baby, a low-key start for two people who could have made it a headline event.
If the news feels familiar, it’s because Gaga told us it was coming. In a July 2025 interview on The Howard Stern Show, she said giving her kids a“very safe and happy childhood”would become her“No. 1 priority.”She was also clear that becoming a mother didn’t mean walking away from her career, saying,“Disappear? I don’t think so.”The two of them have been together since 2020 and got engaged in July 2024.
That balancing act is one plenty of families know well. You don’t stop chasing what matters to you, you just reshuffle the order and put the little one at the top. From the sound of it, that’s exactly what this summer looked like for Gaga and Polansky.
What’s the one thing you promised yourself you’d always put first once you had kids? Tell us in the comments.
