It was supposed to be a fun summer night out. A family headed to a Morgan Wallen concert in Baltimore back in July, ready for good music and good times. Instead, they ended up as the victims of what police are now calling assault. Jayson Reed, 33, was arrested in North Carolina this week after investigators say he urinated on the family, which included an eight-year-old girl, during the show.

The family reported the incident to police at the concert, but officers on scene declined to take action because they hadn’t personally witnessed it. Understandably, the family was frustrated and left the show. But the story gained traction online, prompting the Maryland Transportation Authority Police to reopen the investigation. They located new witnesses and consulted with the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office before charging Reed with four counts of second-degree assault, public urination, and related offenses. Each assault count carries a maximum of 10 years in prison. Reed is currently being held in North Carolina while he awaits extradition back to Maryland.

It’s a wild story, but it’s also a reminder that speaking up matters. If you’re at a concert and see someone acting out of line, don’t just look the other way. And if you’ve ever had a bad experience at a live show, we want to hear about it. What’s the most outrageous thing you’ve seen in a crowd? Drop your story in the comments below.
