Adrian Szymaniak, who viewers came to know on season three of Poland’s Married at First Sight, has passed away at 39. His family announced the news in a translated Instagram statement on September 5, explaining that Adrian had been diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma in July 2025. He is survived by his wife, Anita Szydłowska, and their two children.
In a post back in February, Adrian opened up about his decision to stay grateful for every day, to keep fighting, and to keep planning for the future despite his diagnosis.“I share my story because I have no other options, but also because I believe it can give someone hope,”he wrote. His family’s statement asked for peace, space, and silence to say goodbye to Adrian with love and dignity, and a private funeral will be held for family only.
Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer, and stories like Adrian’s remind us how quickly life can change. If this news hits close to home, whether you followed his season or you’ve walked alongside someone fighting cancer, know that you’re not alone. How do you make sure the people you love know it? We’d love to hear from you in the comments.
