Oprah Winfrey is taking over the Las Vegas Sphere for a weekend, and she says the idea came to her from the stands.“Oprah Winfrey’s AHA”runs April 2nd through 4th, 2027, built around a two-hour show that mixes live performances, poetry, original writing and design. Winfrey said the concept struck her while she sat in awe at U2’s 2023 opening night at the venue.“What if this magnificent space could take us to the edge of the universe and deep within ourselves?”she remembered thinking.
The guest lineup is stacked, and it’s not just one genre. Grammy-winning musician Jacob Collier will perform, poet and author Ocean Vuong will appear, and Ajeet and Wintley Phipps round out the announced guests. Composer Max Richter is handling music direction and original music. Live Nation is presenting the show, with Emmy-winning producer Baz Halpin and his Silent House Group behind production. Winfrey calls the event the culmination of her life’s work, a big claim after decades in television.
If you’re thinking about making the trip, here’s the timing. Presale sign-up is open now, and general tickets go on sale September 25th at 10 a.m. Pacific. Vegas in April is a fine excuse for a road trip, and this one comes with bragging rights. So tell us: would you plan a trip around Oprah’s Sphere weekend, or would you rather catch it from the couch?
