Prince Harry has firmed up his first official UK engagements since returning to England in August with Meghan and the kids. First up: the Invictus Spirit Awards on September 17, followed by the launch of a new Invictus education program called INSPIRE. Then he heads to London for the WellChild Awards on September 21, a date that marks 20 years of the WellChild Nurse program, a cause Harry has supported for close to two decades.

After the UK stops, he’ll travel to New York for the Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting on September 22-23. The schedule comes amid ongoing family tension. King Charles issued a statement labeling Harry and Meghan“private citizens with commercial and charitable interests,”which reportedly frustrated the couple. And Uganda pulled out of hosting Harry’s Invictus Games, drawing a pointed response from him:“Sadly, the only people who will suffer are the Invictus Games competitors.”

Through all the royal back and forth, the work itself stays steady. Harry’s own statement on WellChild centered the kids and families, not the drama:“It is always a privilege to be part of the WellChild Awards and to meet the extraordinary children, young people, families and professionals whose courage and determination inspire us all.”What matters most to you here: the charity work, or the family feud?
