Prince William Reportedly Has His "I Told You So" Moment as Harry and Meghan's UK Return Gets Complicated

A source close to the royal family says Prince William was never as hopeful as King Charles that Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK would stay calm. Now that the dust has settled, that source claims William is having an“I told you so”moment, and he still hasn’t spoken to his brother. The brothers reportedly remain at odds weeks after the Sussexes moved back to be closer to King Charles during his cancer treatment.

Buckingham Palace also confirmed that Harry and Meghan won’t be working royals, can’t use their HRH titles, and can’t hold a half-in, half-out status. That letter was reportedly shared with media before the couple got a say, and sources say they’re frustrated with how King Charles worded it. All of this lands while Kate Middleton, who has since overcome her own cancer battle, is trying to keep family life steady.

One insider summed it up by saying history shows these two tend to dig their own grave, and this development only pushes reconciliation further away. Whether that fence ever gets mended is anybody’s guess.
