Queen Latifah Called John Legend Before Joining 'The Voice' — Now She's Dominating the Blinds

Queen Latifah may have Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe awards on her shelf, but even she needed a pep talk before taking a coach’s chair on“The Voice.”She picked up the phone and called John Legend, a former coach and full EGOT winner, who reassured her she was joining the show for the right reasons. Turns out that call worked wonders.

Latifah now says she’s“dominating the blinds,”a title she never thought she’d hold. Kelly Clarkson backed her up, admitting the coaches lost a lot of contestants to Queen Latifah during the blind rounds. With Clarkson and Adam Levine back in their chairs and country star Riley Green joining as a new coach, season 30 has plenty for country fans to get excited about.
