Armani White, the rapper behind the hit “Billie Eilish,” made quite the splash—unfortunately, it was on a highway! The multi-platinum artist recently found himself in hot water after jumping on a concrete barrier in the middle of I-75 to film a music video. Yes, you heard that right! When we say “going big or going home,” he probably took that a little too literally this time.
After several 911 calls poured in, London Police Department officers arrived on the scene to find White grooving away, clearly unaware that the dance floor wasn’t exactly safe. He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and the more serious offense of stopping on a limited access highway. While this might not be the ideal way to promote an album, it definitely has the potential to make for an interesting backstory on his next record.
In a world where promotion often pushes boundaries, it raises an important question: what’s too far in the name of creativity? White was booked and later released, hopefully with a lesson learned about choosing his filming locations wisely. Perhaps for his next video, he should consider a concert hall—or, at least, a less dangerous spot! What do you think? Are outrageous stunts like this worth the risk or just reckless?
