Shailene Woodley and Olivia Munn Share Emmys Moment, and Yes, They've Both Dated Aaron Rodgers

There are awkward run-ins, and then there’s running into your ex’s other ex at the Emmys. Except Monday night didn’t look awkward at all. Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley were seen in deep conversation at the 2026 Emmy Awards, and at one point Munn held Woodley’s hand while Woodley shook her head. Cameras caught it, and the internet did what the internet does.

For context, Munn dated Aaron Rodgers for three years before their 2017 split, and Woodley was engaged to the quarterback in 2021 before they ended things in 2022. The moment landed just days after Rodgers said on a podcast that his exes’fame peaked while they were with him. When TMZ asked Woodley about those comments, she just laughed. Both women have since married other people, and both seem to be in good places.

So what was that hand-hold really about? Maybe solidarity. Maybe support. Maybe just two people who know each other’s story without needing the details spelled out. Either way, it was one of the more human moments of the night.
