South Park Creators Apologize to Kendrick Lamar for Movie Delays

Matt Stone and Trey Parker have issued an apology for the long delay on their Kendrick Lamar movie. In a statement, the South Park creators took full responsibility for the schedule, thanked their partners at PgLang and Paramount for their patience, and made one thing clear: they still believe in the project.

The film is currently working under the title“Whitney Springs”at Paramount. Reports suggest the plot has shifted to center on a Black slave reenactor clashing with a racist Midwestern mayor, a premise that fits right in the wheelhouse of the team that has spent nearly three decades poking at uncomfortable subjects. Lamar is reportedly producing and has recorded several new songs for the film, which means there is fresh music sitting somewhere waiting on us.
