Taylor Frankie Paul is starting over on her own terms. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star announced on Instagram that she is single and celibate, writing that she has stayed in and avoided intimacy, and promising herself that no one will have intimate access to her again unless he is her person. She added that she still has a long way to go, but she’s taking baby steps.
The announcement comes after a stretch most people would struggle to survive. ABC scrapped her Bachelorette season after 2023 arrest footage resurfaced. She pleaded guilty to assault and completed three years of probation this summer. She also claimed she broke off her engagement to former Bachelorette contestant Doug Mason, and her legal battle with ex Dakota Mortensen keeps escalating. Season 5 of her show is currently airing, while production on season 6 has resumed without her or Dakota.
Through all of it, Taylor says she’s focused on healing rather than headlines. For a lot of folks, that decision to step back and protect your own peace is one of the hardest and most worthwhile promises you can make. What do you think? Is taking time away from dating the best way to heal, or is it just a pause? Sound off in the comments.
