Widow's Bay Season 2: Filming Could Start in March, New Episodes Likely 2027

Widow’s Bay fans finally have something to chew on. Apple TV renewed the horror comedy for Season 2 before the Season 1 finale even aired, and star Kate O’Flynn says filming is hopefully around March. Season 1 shot in Massachusetts from May to August of 2025 and premiered in April 2026, so a March start points to new episodes arriving in late 2027. No official premiere date has been announced.

The numbers behind the hype are real. Season 1 delivered 10 episodes and won a record 14 Emmys for a comedy series in a single year, with only seven episodes eligible. Creator Katie Dippold has signed a multi-year overall deal with Apple TV, so the island isn’t going anywhere.

If you haven’t started yet, this is your window. Apple TV runs $14.99 a month with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, which is plenty of time to work through all of Season 1 before cameras roll again. And O’Flynn’s tease for Season 2? Everything is great on the island and there’s nothing to worry about. Take that however you’d like.
