Spencer Pratt is ready to save Gotham—or at least Los Angeles—and he’s doing it the way only a reality TV personality running for mayor could: by becoming Batman in an AI-generated political attack ad that’s equal parts bonkers and brilliant.

The video, which dropped on Tuesday, reimagines“The Dark Knight Rises”kangaroo court scene as a takedown of California’s Democratic establishment. LA Mayor Karen Bass becomes The Joker. Governor Gavin Newsom shows up dressed as a French aristocrat, a cheeky nod to The French Laundry controversy. And former VP Kamala Harris, who recently endorsed Bass, appears swilling vodka. It’s absolutely unhinged—which is exactly why conservative politicians and commentators online are singing its praises.

Here’s the wild part: the ad wasn’t actually made by Pratt’s campaign. It was created by someone named Charlie Curran using AI, according to reporting. That distinction matters legally, but it doesn’t change the fact that Pratt is happily riding the wave of attention it’s generating. In the video, an ordinary citizen begs for help while the three judges and aristocracy laugh. Enter Joe Rogan, forced to shine a giant SP in the sky à la Commissioner Gordon, summoning our caped celebrity savior. Pratt then beats up a few Democratic Socialists of America, leads the regular people of LA in a revolt, and ends the chaos with a good old-fashioned tomato-pelting.

What makes this even more surreal: AI versions of Marco Rubio show support in the video, while Hugh Jackman begs to rebuild his Pacific Palisades home. It’s genuinely one of the wildest political ads ever made.

Pratt is running for LA mayor in what he claims is a serious campaign. Several of his“The Hills”costars have backed him publicly, and former Lakers owner Jeanie Buss donated the maximum allowable amount to his campaign. The mayoral primary is set for June 2. Whether this bonkers Batman ad actually moves the needle or just goes viral for all the wrong reasons remains to be seen—but you have to admit, it’s the most entertaining thing to happen to LA politics in months.
